Talya Allen

Hello, my name is Talya Allen, a Freshman Pre-Nursing student from Greenville, North Carolina. The NCCU Alumni Association has provided me with a wonderful scholarship, that has assisted me in finding various opportunities on and off campus and for that I am forever grateful. On campus I have become involved in the Black College Business Women organization, as well as attending a national nursing conference sponsored by the AAPINA association. I aspire to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, as well as begin my own business. I strive to inspire more black women to enter medical and STEM careers as well as becoming more present in the health industry to make the African American community more comfortable in hospital settings. Finally, I would like to express my gratuity for the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association and all that it does for its scholars and the university.
