Paula Dewitt

A graduate of North Carolina Central University Winter Class of 2008, receiving her Bachelors in Criminal Justice.  She went on to work in the Social Service Field as a Case Manager at the Department of Family and Children Services for the State of Georgia.  She was a part of the NCCU-Atl Alumni where she served on the Events Committee assisting in creating fundraisers and was the NCCU representative for the MEAC Annual HBCU Picnic Committee.

Employment allowed Candi to relocate to South Florida in 2011 working as a Child Protective Investigator for the Department of Children and Families State of Florida, transitioning to a Case Manager in their Welfare/Reemployment Unit. Candi is a State of Florida Notary, as well as a State of Florida Proctor, also very involved in the electoral process and became a State of Florida Poll worker who works every election.

In 2012 she became a member of the NCCU South Florida Alumni Association.

Candi; who has a knack for coordinating events most recently assisted NCCU South Florida Alumni with a networking event which brought out lots of South Florida Alumni, she also loves to participate in our charity events yearly as we give back during the holidays. Because Candi is a true servant; she also takes upon herself to donate gallons of water monthly to the Flint Michigan Water Crisis on behalf of NCCU and in the wake of our most recent Hurricane Matthew created a Haiti Relief with her employer and collected donations and shipped them to Haiti, and also donating greatly when the NCCU South Florida Alumni Association held their Haiti Relief; again her passion is serving the least of these, social justice and impacting our community.

Candi has also most recently became a member of The South Florida Women of Color Empowerment Institute where again she hopes to obtain valuable skills to assist with helping to create change in the community

Candi is excited and humbled about being nominated and elected to the position of President of the NCCU South Florida Alumni Association 2017-2018 year; and we have no doubt that she with the Eagles assistance with continue to lead with greatness.
